WHY D.T.G PRINTING?

D.T.G (direct to garment) digital printing is a revolutionary way of printing vivid, full-color images onto T-Shirts. D.T.G digital printing is extremely cost-effective, especially if you have a small to medium quantity and your print contains multiple colors. D.T.G Digital is the most environmentally friendly printing method available.

HOW IT WORKS

Direct to Garment (D.T.G) printing is the process of printing images directly onto fabrics and garments, such as T-shirts. It employs the use of textile inkjet technology to print your desired image onto the garment. It’s useful to imagine it as a giant inkjet printer, but instead of papers and documents, it prints designs on fabric.

ARTWORK | DESIGNING

If it's just text you require and you aren't too bothered what font is used we don't really need artwork. However, if your design is of a more complex nature we require your artwork to be supplied as a Vector-line graphic either as an Adobe Illustrator file AI, EPS, PDF file or Corel Draw file with all fonts outlined. We do accept other file formats such as JPG or Bitmaps but these must be provided in a high resolution.

HEAT PROCESS

Heat or UV curing process is used to dry and affix the printed ink to the Garment.

Once the individual screens are ready, they are locked in place onto the arms of the print carousel and aligned with each other to make sure that each color and each layer of color is printed in its correct position. The suitable color of ink is applied to the screens, and the colors are applied to the image one at a time to create your final print.

ADVANTAGE OF D.T.G PRINTING

  • We can print any design that you desire with no limits on color

  • wider range of colors resulting in prints that don't crack or peel.

  • It can stretch any way that the fabric stretches.

  • Best for both High & Low Volumes.

  • We use the two-pass printing method for both white and colored garments for making vibrant prints that last.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE DRAWBACKS

  • Not ideal for printing on textured or coarse fabrics.

  • It does not have the ability to align exactly with the Pantone Matching System.

  • The appearance of colors on the final prints will be affected by the color of the fabric.

  • Costs more for large-scale or bulk orders than screen printing

  • Prints more slowly than screen printing, so large orders also take longer

  • DTG prints are less durable than screen printing in terms of everyday or heavy wear
